Seong Hee Park is a creative and innovative makeup artist with more than 15 years of experience in the fashion industry. Originally from South Korea and based in New York City, she has studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology and holds a Masters degree in Color from the prestigious Hong-Ik University in Seoul.
Starting with the Calvin Klein Perfume 1 campaign in 2010, Seong Hee has worked with Pat McGrath on various projects including the Met Costume Institute Gala, CFDA Awards, New York, Paris, and Milan Fashion Weeks. Seong Hees work has been influenced by the likes of Helmut Newton, Richard Avedon, and Henri Matisse. Hair and beauty visionaries, the Carita sisters who many assume were French, were actually from the town of Salardu in la Vall d'Aran, Spain. Fleeing war and poverty they headed for France settling in Toulouse. At 14 years of age Maria began her training as a hairdresser with her sister Rosy following shortly afterwards. With their attention to detail, creativity and ambition they were soon in demand and managed to start their own salon in a former butchers shop in Toulouse. Their fame grew and in 1943 they opened their own salon in Paris on the renowned Boulevard, St Honore.
