Petite Slips?
Sometimes tights and/or underwear will always dig in enough to show through your dress. It's not an issue of the wrong size because bigger tights still have those evil, constricting waistbands (and, if you're anything like me, now the legs are a foot too long) and bigger underwear is obviously baggy. Sometimes, modest summer skirts suddenly become a whole lot more revealing when the light shines through them a certain way.
What do average-sized women do? Buy slips, of course! It's not worth having such beautiful dresses and skirts only to leave them hanging in the closet because your bloody underwear makes your beautiful knit dress or whatever outfit look ugly. Alas, I am not an average-sized woman. I am petite at only 5'2". I have scoured multiple countries in Europe for half and full slips that would be short enough not to hang out from under my skirts and dresses. The vast majority of slips are 20 inches from natural waist to hem. On the models, it looks short enough. Only a few inches below their crotches. On me? It hits my knees. Useless, since most of my hemlines fall halfway down my thighs or a few inches ABOVE my knees.
Do petite-friendly full and half slips exist on this Earth? Is there a place where I can order them online? I actually have 0 faith there are any, but I won't know for sure unless I bother asking. Don't worry about confirming my pessimism. I have been banished to the children's section so many times, all it will cost me is an eye roll.

Quote:
Samuel Frederick "Sam" Smith (born 19 May 1992) is an English singer-songwriter. He rose to fame in October 2012 when he was featured on Disclosure's breakthrough single "Latch", which peaked at number 11 on the UK Singles Chart. His subsequent feature—on Naughty Boy's "La La La"—earned him his first number 1 single in May 2013. In December 2013, he was nominated for the 2014 BRIT Critics' Choice Award and the BBC's Sound of 2014 poll, both of which he won. He released his debut studio album, In the Lonely Hour, in May 2014 on Capitol Records. The lead single, "Lay Me Down", was released prior to "La La La". The second single was "Money on My Mind". The album's third single "Stay with Me" was an international success, peaking atop both the UK Singles chart and the U.S. Billboard Pop Songs chart (along with the Adult Contemporary, Adult Pop Songs and Radio Songs charts); it also reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. |

To Members Who Post Photos and Articles ... Copyrights
Please, be careful when posting any pictures or articles in the Fashion Spot forums. Copyright laws state that no one may post photos or articles without specific permission from the "copyright holder". In many cases this would be the photographer, his agents/manager/photo agency or the magazines where the photos were originally published.
All members agreed, when they joined, that they would have permission from the copyright holders, before they posted this sort of content. All members have also agreed that they will bear full responsibility for violating any copyrights.
Due to new technology, copyright holders now have the means to scan forums for their photos and content and our legal department has been receiving many more complaints of copyright violations and threats of lawsuits if they fail to warn the copyright violators.
Therefore, our legal department is forced, in compliance with the law, to take the following steps, when they receive one of the complaints:
1. Remove the content.
2. Warn the member who posted it that he/she has posted copyrighted material without permission and that if they get additional complaints, the member will lose posting privileges.
3. It will be 3 strikes (according to our published Community Rules) ... 2 warnings then a ban.
