Louis Angelo - Hair Stylist
Quote:
Upon graduatiing with a BA in business from Duquesne University, Louis Angelo immediately enrolled in a night beuaty school program in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He moved to New York City where he earned the position of first hair assistant to the iconic Garren of the Garren New York Salon. This experience provided him with a unique opportunity to study both the business and aritistic sides of the industry, providing a foundation upon which to launch his own career as a freelance hairstylist. Since then, he has worked with many respected photographers, including Steven Meisel, Steven Klein, Patrick Demarchelier, Irving Penn, Peter Lindberg, Tom Munro and Terry Tsiolis on editorial and cover shoots for American Vogue, Vogue Italia, Vogue Deutsch, Harpers Bazaar, W, Allure, among others. Louis finds inspiration in countless aspects of everyday life, from music, film, architecture to western and ancient civiliaztions and global culture. Stimulus isnt limited to sight alone, but also scent, sound, touch and taste. More than anything, he responds to the energy of a given subject. From these varied and ever-changing sources of inspiration, he has evolved a style based on a classic foundation, with elements of street fashion and pop culture combined to create a wholly modern aesthetic. Louis demonstrates the extraordinary ability to transform the hair of his subject(s) on the spot, altering the style and context spectacularly - from grunge goddess to Park Avenue Princess. In addition to his work as a freelance artist, he maintains a position as Hair Designer at the Julien Farel Restore Salon and Spa. He takes great pride and much satisfaction from all aspects of his career, and considers himself fortunate to be able to work professionally doing something he enjoys deeply. |

Intern listings websites?
Hey guys,
I'm looking for websites that list internship/work experience/freelance/assistant positions for magazines. I'm talking about where all the major magazines post, for example VOGUE USA. I have heard they don't list assistant/intern/freelance/temp positions on their Conde Nast careers website, so where do they list them? Where do you all go for careers/jobs/internships in fashion?
Regards and many thanks,
Sohail :)

Harper's Bazaar Australia September 2015 : Katy Perry by Jean-Paul Goude

magshop.com.au
Another Katy Perry/Jean-Paul Goude reprint but we do always discuss Harper's Bazaar Australia in a separate thread. I admire the fact they've used pink fonts as opposed to every other edition that used red.
Besides the Roitfeld story, I wonder what else the issue has to offer? Bazaar Australia rarely fails to deliver.

These are the archives that I know of:
Are there any other archives out there?

Jamaul Barnett
Quote:
Who: Jamaul Barnett, 188 cm / 62″, Jamaican, born July 24th. Why: Sleek, sophisticated, and brand spanking new, Jamaul from Jamaica was signed with Gadal Model Management after his aunty encouraged him to give modelling a try. With a body honed to perfection by his love of basketball (he even plays for the Denham Town Warriors in the National League of Jamaica), and a face that is highlighted by high cheekbones, iconically cute ears, and perfect skin, Jamaul delivers an intriguing mix of sporty, luxurious yet disarming casual style. A veritable panther on the runway, and with plans to head out to Cape Town then London soon, we can predict that Jamaul will surely capture interest. Theres no doubt that this island boy will be taking that laid back Caribbean style to the majors in the near future.
