Phoebe Philo leaving Céline?

Quote:

Phoebe Philo, creative director of French fashion house *Céline, is looking to leave the company, sources tell Page Six.
The designer and fashion industry darling has been at Céline since 2008, working out of London and traveling to the Paris headquarters for fittings and shows.
But industry chatter in Milan is that Philo “is getting bored of [Céline’s parent company] LVMH and being in Paris so much. She wants to stay more with her family,” which is also based in the UK.
Philo has three children with her husband, gallerist Max Wigram.
She first started working under Stella McCartney at Chloé in 1997, and rose to creative director when McCartney left to launch her own line in 2001.
Philo resigned from Chloé in 2006 to focus on her family, but returned to fashion and joined Céline two years later.
Insiders says she’s in discussions with luxury firm Richemont, which owns Chloé, Azzedine Alaïa and Cartier, for a position at one of their brands.
But other sources say news of Philo’s departure is not true.
A rep for LVMH declined to comment.
Richemont’s rep didn’t get back to us.

Calling all Fashion Writers!

$

Hey all,

I'm looking for some fashion writers (journalists, editors, bloggers, copywriters, authors, etc) with a few years of experience who would be able to assist me with a research on the fashion writing industry, education, career prospects and more. I'd really love to find out your views on the fashion writing industry and get a great discussion going on the pros and cons of working within the fashion writing world, whether you feel your time in university or on other courses left you fully equipped for a good career in the industry and where you see yourselves heading potentially career wise!

Just think it would be valuable for us all to be able to discuss the career opportunities for writers today in the fashion industry, I certainly feel now, after university and a few years of editorial experience under my belt that there was so much more I would have loved to have learned at uni that I feel would have really benefitted my career goals and just wonder how everyone feels.

Writers of all levels and disciplines, please let me know your views!
