Nickerson was born in Boston, USA in 1960 and divides her time between Ireland and southern Africa. Her work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, Salzburg; Palais des Beaux-Arts, Brussels; Mudam Musee d’Art Moderne, Luxembourg; Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin; Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas; Santa Barbara Museum of Art; Sunderland Museum; Harn Museum, Gainesville; Vatican Museums, Rome; Benaki Museum, Athens.

I'm surprised Annie doesn't have her own forum yet. I think she's absolutely lovely. She's a Grammy award winning artist who won for Best Alt Album (first time a female has won in almost 24 years). I also saw her live on her solo tour in 2014 and she absolutely blew my mind, she shreds on the guitar like nobody's business. She was so freakin' good I went out and bought tickets for the Black Keys tour a month later because she was the opening act. If you have the chance to see this woman, do.
