Reflections of natural light on aluminum structures as envisioned by artist Dan Flavin at a Texas fluorescent installation was the vision for Carlos Garciavelezs spring collection. The designer translated this into a subtle blurring of light through the use of variations in neon color and gradation. In terms of silhouettes, athletic references were seen throughout in hybrid hooded blazers in nylon and chambray, expandable ribbing on the shoulder of blazers to allow for movement, and cropped sweatshirts layered over neon-colored tees. These bright combinations were also used in a footwear collaboration with Diemme. |
